my shock is that the people who cook up karaoke kits for bars have heard of Edwyn Collins.
So last night I saw “A Girl Like You” and Orange Juice’s “Rip It Up” on the karaoke list at Chopsticks and I feel like I need to do those songs next time.
Of course, it probably should be expected in Portland, where “A Girl Like You” appears to be a strip club mainstay.
