Solace, Marvin Hamlisch (The Sting Soundtrack)

Oscar & Tony-winning composer (“The Way We Were”; “A Chorus Line”) Marvin Hamlisch has passed; he was 68.

The greatest thing he ever did, musically, was re-directing the spotlight of music back onto the legendary ragtime composer Scott Joplin; through the soundtrack score of “The Sting” (1973).

Rest in peace, Marvin, and say “How do you do?” to Mr. Joplin for us.

Miss you both!

reupped, RIP
